SOUTHSIDE VIRGINIA SHRM
REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Wednesday August 26, 2020
WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
The Southside Virginia SHRM chapter met for its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, August 26th , via zoom meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 noon by Leslie Rakes, HR Virginia Southern District Director.
LESLIE:
- welcomed membership to the meeting
- reminded membership that 2020 Dues need to be paid
- shared with membership that Board positions were currently available due to several recent resignations. Anyone interested should contact her or any other board member
- shared information on the upcoming NC Annual SHRM Conference, Cost $299.00 , 13 SHRM or HRCI Credits with a potential of 9 additional credits
- Invited members to participate in Blue Ridge Chapter September SHRM Meeting
Christine introduced speaker Cathy Gore- Presentation: Leadership
Presentation was approved for SHRM (20-MCNKG) and HRCI credits (530073)
Next Chapter Meeting September 30th.
