December Chapter Meeting Notes
SOUTHSIDE VIRGINIA SHRM
REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Wednesday, December 11, 2019
WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
The Southside Virginia SHRM chapter met for its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, December 11, at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) in the first floor conference room.
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 noon. by Angie McAdams, president. The following members and guests were present at the meeting:

PRESIDENT’S REMARKS
Angie McAdams expressed thanks to everyone for help making her year as president a success. She is looking forward to the start of the new year.
HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES
Marcellous Reeves thanked everyone who helped to plan the holiday event. Members enjoyed playing several games which were led by Marcellous and Jill Levinson. Various door prizes were awarded for game winners. Following the holiday games, drawings were held for general door prizes. Each member present received a door prize.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Chaquetta Hill addressed the group and she is looking forward to the new year in her role as president. She will be emailing members soon with information regarding meetings for the new year.
Felisa King announced that she will be resigning from her position at DRS at the end of the year. She will continue to be a member of SHRM and she is excited to join the board as president-elect.
