“Driving engagement through open communication”
When Goodyear-Danville experienced a challenging year, each and every employee had to take a look in the mirror. Through open communication from all levels of the organization, from the shop floor, to the most senior leadership, the plant is embarking on a journey to become the best in Goodyear’s footprint. The involvement of all employees, and the knowledge that each one is critical to the plant’s mission, is the driving force behind Goodyear-Danville’s continuous improvement.
Greg Kerr, manufacturing director at Goodyear-Danville since March 2016, has an undergraduate degree in occupational health and safety from Murray State University in Ky., and a masters degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. In his 10-year career with Goodyear, he has held the positions of production manager at the Union City, Tenn., facility, manufacturing director at Akron ICM, TPM regional manager at the Akron corporate office, and manufacturing director at the Social Circle, Ga., facility.
