Speaker: Leslie Sturdivant, Sovah Health’s Market Vice President of Support Service
Presentation Overview: New White House directives, initiated by executive orders target Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs by restricting race or gender-based preferences, revoking affirmative action for federal contractors, and demanding a shift toward merit based, neutral practices. Companies must audit programs for compliance with anti-discrimination laws to mitigate litigation risks from EEOC.
Leslie Sturdivant joined Sovah Health, then Danville Regional Health System, many years ago, beginning her career as a Medical Social Worker.
Leslie later transitioned to the marketing department, subsequently serving in numerous leader roles such as Director of Marketing and Business Development, Director of Communications, and Market Director of Communications and Government Relations, before being appointed Assistant Hospital Administrator in 2015.
Leslie now serves as Sovah Health’s Market Vice President of Support Service providing administrative leadership for Sovah Health’s two hospitals and multiple clinics. She also serves as Institutional Officer for Graduate Medical Education - Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physician residency programs, as well as Vice Dean of Sovah’s School of Health Professions.
