- Financial Audit – who, when, and where?

- No update from Lisa/Shirley re: audit.
- Ending balance $8,450.00. Deposits brought us to $8,800.00 After expenses paid out, cash balance of $8,96.34 as of March 10. Savings = $3,277.77. CD has $4,924.17 = Grand total $16,293.28 for our accounts. Savings acct from AMNB closed and money now is in First State Bank.
- Laptop has been purchased. Quickbooks loaded on laptop and Lisa has loaded all of our accounts and they are in balance. She is saving all minutes to the laptop as well. We will buy an external hard drive to back up on a regular basis. Chris created a SHRM email address for the Board to use when registering the laptop warranty. He will send that email address out to the Board. Lisa will bring the laptop to Chapter meetings and we should be using it when doing work for the Chapter. We also have an overhead projector we can use any time we need it.

- Vote was called to approve the by-laws. Kristina called for vote. Chris seconded the vote. Everyone present voted affirmative. By-laws are now approved. Kristina will send the final copy to everyone. Lisa, please download to the laptop. Chris will submit a copy to National SHRM.

- We received payment and application for 48 members. 11 are pending for a total of 59. We sent one more reminder email on the 13th of this month.
- Linda following up on Goodyear – 7 members.
- We have 7 new members this year so far. Ronnie has one pending and Petrina reached out to one today.

- Programs planning for 2017
- Administrative Assistant Day
- Based on feedback – adjustment of monthly speakers to allow for another breakout work session.

- Good to go for next week. Byrnes and Gould to present on non-compete and non-disclosure agreements. Originally, they were going to present on HR law update, but Ashley got feedback that people wanted more detailed information vs. general. It should be very interesting.
- RE: Administrative Assistants Day – concern that we haven’t gotten this fully organized yet and recommend we postpone so that it won’t be pulled together too haphazardly. Petrina said she feels that it would be a disappointment as people are already asking about it. Petrina also said she’d be happy to speak on “Knowing your Why”. It’s ok to not have vendors. April 26 is the date. Last year the gift was a water bottle. We can get something ordered at MaddyZack. We just need to get marketing put out and then order a gift. Ashley agreed to proceed. Andrea said she’d be happy to call last year’s vendors and ask if they want to participate for a $25 fee. Ashley will come up with a task list. Christine will send Ashley and Andrea the vendor list.
- Since Petrina was scheduled for August, and we now will have her speaking in April, we need another speaker in August. Petrina will send Ashley the contact information for Veteran’s based speaker for August. September is open and November is open. We could do break-out sessions and need to find facilitator.

1. Should we use this topic for a break-out session. Ron said that maybe Allison could do a presentation to go beyond VEC. Ashley will reach out to Ron to see if Allison will be able to fill one of those spots this Fall.

- Spoke with Lester Hall and he referred her to Richie Robinson at DCC, but phone number doesn’t seem to be working. Ronnie will check on that and get back to Andrea. Petrina shared number with Andrea and got it sorted. Andrea will call back.
- Regarding Averett – still working on getting in to speak with students. Working with Angie McAdams there. Angie also said she’d be interested in continuing Andrea’s work if Andrea should need to leave the Chapter due to job change reasons.

- Touch base with The Institute on meeting accommodations
|
- Petrina spoke to IALR re: our accommodations. They used the logic that since we don’t pay the full rate, they try to accommodate us as best as possible. Hopefully this will get better.
- Regarding volunteerism, we have been asked by DCC to help them with doing mock interviews. Petrina to follow up. Ronnie said we should make it a project day. Between April 17-April 28.
