BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER

The Southside Virginia SHRM Board of Directors met on Wednesday October 21, 2020 via Zoom Teleconference Meeting.

The meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m. by Leslie Rakes HR Virginia Southern District Director.  The following members were present at the meeting:

• Leslie to review By-Laws to determine if Minutes are needed for Monthly Chapter Meetings
• Chapter Board Campaign-suggested minimum donation of $35 to the SHRM foundation
• 4^th Quarter State Council Meeting- Virtual
• VLBM- Virtual
• 2021 HR Virginia Leadership Conference – Virtual
• 1^st Quarter State Council Meeting- Virtual

No changes since last meeting

Treasurer’s Update- as of 9/25/2020

Treasurer’s report will be approved at next meeting, not enough members present to approve

Secretary’s Report

Minutes from August and September Board Meeting will be review and approved at October Board Meeting.

Communications Update

Connie Alderson will send out a reminder for next week’s chapter meeting

Upcoming Elections- October 2020

Special Board Meeting will be held on Monday October 26 at 12:00 noon to approve ballot for 2021
