BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

WELCOME AND CALL TO ORDER
The Southside Virginia SHRM Board of Directors met on Wednesday September 23rd, 2020 via Zoom Teleconference Meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m. by Leslie Rakes HR Virginia Southern District Director. The following members were present at the meeting:

NEWS & UPDATES
- Jan Brink and Betty Wilcher shared their experiences participating in the Virtual NC Annual SHRM Conference
- Betty Wilcher shared with membership information on upcoming SHRM events
President for 2021 should plan to attend the Volunteer Leaders’ Business Meeting at the Gaylord on November 19. The 4th quarter State Council meeting will be held immediately following the VLBM conference.
- Vivian Brooks has agreed to continue to serve on the 2021 Board as Programs Co-Chair
- Carsheena Johnson has agreed to continue to serve on the 2021 Board as College Relations Chair
MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
Christine has sent reminder to unpaid members. Three additional membership payments have been received.
Treasurer’s Update

CD $ 4,985.16
Total: $16,008.99
No outstanding invoices are known at this time.
Leslie shared the Blue Ridge Human Resources Association treasurer ‘s monthly reconciliation process and would like to have a meeting with Shirley to review their process.

Minutes from August and September Board Meeting will be review and approved at October Board Meeting.
